In 1960 BREITNER was founded by Hans Breitner, the father and grandfather of today’s company owners. The Schwäbisch Hall based company which started off manufacturing simple filling apparatuses and small automatic filling machines, quickly became a specialist for mechanical and hydraulic piston fillers.
In 1981 the range of products, which already included linear filling machines and rotary filling machines with up to 20 filling positions, was extended. BREITNER also started manufacturing closing machines with 1 spindle and then also rotary closing machines.
In 1983 the decision to improve and adapt the flow metering technology which had so far only been used in process technology marked a milestone for the future. Together with a reputable manufacturer of measuring units the technology was altered so that it could also be used for short-time dosing on filling machines.
Initially ridiculed by competitors, BREITNER developed the first rotary high speed filling machines with inductive flow metering technology. This technology proved to be very feasible and its considerable advantages in comparison to conventional piston fillers quickly made many friends
Today more than 90% of BREITNER filling machines are fitted with flow meters, no other way is imaginable.
To guarantee our customers a maximum of efficiency and availability in connection with low operating costs, we are continuously refining our machines. We are also using state of the art technology components.
